we will check out
some of the minerals that are growing
under us in the dirt
we will look at how time affects the
earth
it is amazing the changes that happen
over a long period of time
we will also learn about water
and why
conservation of resources
is so important
if we don't learn
how to save the things around us
there won't be anything left in the near
future
we will learn something about the places
where animals and people live
we all live
in very different places around the
world
they are all
unique
and very special
animals and people
had to make some big changes
to face the challenges
of living where they were born
so
we will see some very different lives
and
ways of surviving
we will also learn about one of the last
really
unexplored parts of our planet
the ocean
there is still so much
we don't know about the oceans around us
it is kind of incredible when you think
that we know more about space
than the ocean we can swim in
we will learn about life on earth
all forms of life
plant life
animal life
insects that share our planet
even the microbes and bacteria we can't
see
we will take a look at what animals were
like before humans
and
what they are like now after evolution
we will learn about the continents that
make up the dry land we live on
we will look at how the continents we
know now
looked long ago
when they broke the surface of the
oceans
and moved to their current positions
we will look at how animals are
different
in each place
and talk about
why they are different
it is amazing how different animals are
now
that shared a common ancestor
we will learn about atoms
the small building blocks of all matter
in the universe
we will discover
types of matter
and
learn about chemicals
we will learn about energy and the
forces of nature
like gravity
we will take a look at evolution
and dna
the stuff we are made of
is pretty amazing
we will learn about technology
people around the world
are making some amazing things
and science
helps create these inventions
and
discoveries
science is how we create medicines
and cool things like nanotechnology
there are so many
unbelievable things created
and being created with science
that it is almost hard to imagine
where we will be in ten years
thanks to science the future will reach
for the stars
so this course is probably going to be a
long one but
not a boring one science is amazing and
there's just so many cool things that we
can learn about
i'm really looking forward to this video
